The latest release from Simeon "Every Word He Didn't Say" is a powerful message of action and love. The world needs to see the love of Christ demonstrated in our lives not just in the words we say.
Wayne Carroll the songs co-writer says it this way, "When you think about the day that Jesus was crucified, it seems like everyone around him had something to say about it. He was quite silent. His mind was made up – He knew what he had to do, and He simply fulfilled his mission by being a sacrifice for this world.
As I thought about this, it occurred to me that he didn’t really have to say much at all…what he DID said it all. When we listen with our hearts…when we get beyond mere words, we can actually hear more clearly. Understanding what Jesus did is a heart-thing. He spoke directly to our hearts when he silently walked up that hill with a cross on his back.
As the sinless one who chose to be the sacrificial lamb, his actions spoke volumes. The image and the meaning of Jesus on the cross cannot be adequately described by words. I hope that this song helps people open their hearts to the message of the cross.
